MIDAR Honors 66 Contestants of Dawlet El-Telawa Program in Ceremony Attended by Awqaf Minister

MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development, th Master Developer of “Mostakbal City” and “MADA” in New Cairo, organized a special celebration attended by H.E. Minister of Awqaf, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, to honor all participants in Dawlet El-Telawa (State of Recitation) program.

A total of 66 prizes, worth around EGP 9 M, were presented to honor participants’ talents and their efforts in restoring Egypt’s prominence in Quran recitation and Tajweed. The ceremony took place during the final Witr nights of Ramadan, providing a spiritually meaningful conclusion to these holy days.

The ceremony was attended by judging panel, Quran instructors, and a number of distinguished guests and public figures, continuing MIDAR’s role as the program’s main sponsor.

The initiative underscores the company’s commitment to supporting programs that cultivate young talent in Quran recitation and Tajweed, reflecting its dedication to cultural and humanitarian activities and celebrating the Quran and its reciters. The event embraced the principle that “everyone is a winner with the Quran,” recognizing participants for their talents and their role in reviving Egypt’s leadership in Quran recitation.

Accordingly, 66 prizes were distributed across five categories, including the Audience Choice Award valued at EGP 1M, three awards for the finalists, 32 awards for instructors, and 26 awards for participating contestants.

During the events organized by the company to honor the program’s participants, MIDAR hosted an Iftar for all attendees, contestants, and their families, followed by the Isha and Taraweeh prayers at Al-Moez Mosque in Mostakbal City. The prayers were led by several stars of the Dawlet El-Telawa program.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of the company’s shield by Eng. Ayman ElKousey, CEO and Managing Director of MIDAR For Investment and Urban Development, to H.E. the Minister of Awqaf, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Azhari. Another shield was presented to Mr. Ahmed Fayek, the program’s producer. The judging panel—including Sheikh Hassan Abdel Nabi, Dr. Taha Abdel Wahab, Sheikh Taha Al-Numani, and preacher Mostafa Hosny was honored, alongside media presenter Aya Abdel Rahman, the host of the program. The event attracted wide media coverage, with several television channels attending to document the celebration.

At the conclusion of the events, an awards ceremony was held for the contestants, beginning with a speech by H.E. the Minister of Awqaf, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Azhari who praised the success of the first season of the Dawlet El-Telawa program, highlighted that the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the season’s closing ceremony reflects the high level of care and attention the state gives to the guardians of the Quran.

Al-Azhari also offered special recognition to MIDAR for its prominent role in supporting the project and hosting the honoring events.

In his speech during the event, Eng. Ayman ElKousey, CEO and Managing Director of MIDAR For Investment and Urban Development, highlighted the company’s support for all government efforts to discover and nurture talent, particularly in Quran recitation and Tajweed, contributing to the revival of Egypt’s great reciters’ legacy over past decades.

ElKousey said that the company was keen to award all participants in the program, not just the winners, to highlight the importance of their valuable contributions throughout the show, which achieved wide reach and popularity among diverse audiences.

Concluding his speech, ElKousey expressed sincere gratitude for the collaboration with the Ministry of Awqaf and the United Media Services company for their efforts in bringing the project to fruition.

He disclosed that the company will continue supporting cultural and community initiatives, especially following the success of the Dawlet El-Telawa program as a model of partnership between the private sector and religion institutions in promoting positive values within society.
