Golden Pillars Development has signed cooperation agreement with Rotana Hotels as part of the company’s strategy to partner with leading operators to manage its hotel projects according to the highest global standards.
Under the agreement, Rotana will manage Swar Hotel, the latest project by Golden Pillars, reflecting the company’s commitment to offering a comprehensive hospitality experience that meets the expectations of both the local and regional markets.
Rotana was chosen due to its leading position as one of the largest hotel management companies in the Middle East, North Africa, Northern Europe, and Turkey, and for its extensive experience in managing global hotel brands, ensuring the highest levels of operation and service quality.
Mr. Magdy Saad, Chairman of Golden Pillars Development, stated that the collaboration with Rotana is part of the company’s strategy to deliver an international-standard hospitality experience at Swar Hotel.
He noted that having a management company of Rotana’s size, professionalism, and wide presence will help provide the highest levels of operational efficiency and guest services, increase the overall market value of the project—both its hotel and commercial components—and strengthen its position in the Egyptian market.
For his part, Mr. Makram El Zyr – Corporate VP Development at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation and its legal representative, stated that Rotana Hotels has witnessed significant growth and expansion in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe over the past ten years. Its brands now operate in more than 14 countries and 29 cities, with nearly 22,000 hotel rooms across 80 hotels. Further, Rotana aims to increase this number to 28,000 rooms across 120 hotels over the next four years.
El Zyr added that the selection of Swar Hotel as part of the company’s future expansion stems from a thorough study of the project’s feasibility, its strong assets, and prime location, emphasized that the project represents a valuable addition to Rotana’s portfolio in the Egyptian market.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ayman Mohamed, CEO of Golden Pillars, said that Swar is the first hospitality project to be launched in Shorouk city. The project’s location was carefully selected to become a distinctive landmark within the city, particularly as it is less than twenty minutes from Cairo International Airport.
The project includes both a hotel and a commercial component, which complement each other to provide a unique and exceptional investment and operation experience, Mohamed added.
Mr. Farhan Shubailat, Corporate Director of Development at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, said that the company aims to offer a model that combines hotel services for business executives and entrepreneurs with medium- and long-term corporate agreements to host their guests and key clients.
Shubailat noted that this collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term strategic relationship between Golden Pillars and Rotana for the management and operation of future hospitality projects the company plans to launch.
